About John Schwartz

John Schwartz has always enjoyed working with computers. The connection was made with early systems and computer games. During his time at the University of Texas at Arlington, John spent time supporting an Engineering Department computer lab and found that he also enjoyed helping people get what they needed from their systems.

John Schwartz brings clients more than 10 years of professional experience working in Information Technology. The first two years focused on building custom computers for individuals and businesses. After that, John moved on to a position in an IT department for an international organization. The three years spent with Young President’s Organization introduced a wide variety of database, security, server room, and international event support. The last five years have been spent consulting for a wide variety of businesses and government agencies. In this time, John has had hands-on experience with a lot of individual computers, data centers, small networks, national networks, and various security requirements.

Typical consulting engagements for John have been small businesses with anywhere from five to 100 employees. Industries have included manufacturing, property management, banking, healthcare, and general office support. Government engagements have included County wide networks, school systems, Colorado’s Department of Corrections, and the Department of Defense. Every network has a few special needs, but the methods for delivering quality service show up again and again regardless of the project.

Additionally, John has worked with a number of clients for years. This has given John an opportunity to see how solutions work over the long term. This long-term perspective has given John the ability to help plan solutions for growth and maintainability. Over the years, he has continued his education by obtaining various vendor-based training certifications. At present, John holds certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, HP, APC, and CompTia.
